Player Registration Form:
STEP 2:
Pay a £25 deposit to secure your spot by 22nd August. Sorry for the upfront cost, but it’s just make sure people are serious and we can better make a judgement on how many players are signing up. (this will be taken off the first season payment instalment).
Now for those that are looking to play please see the below:
SEASON DURATION AND COSTS
We don’t have the full information for the season as of yet, as we are waiting for communications from SWBA. What we do know is there is going to be between 25 and 30 games throughout the season, half home and half away. There will also be an additional cup competition.
The season lasts from the beginning of September to the end of April, so it is roughly 29 weeks excluding school holiday periods, so please bear that in mind when looking at the costs. Costs include league registration, court hire, coaching for training and matches, match day officals, and kit. There will be extra sessions and friendly games added in where possible during school holidays.
Full Season Cost - £375 per player
-
Initial signup payment of £25 – Due by 22nd August
-
Payment 1 of £175 - Due by 2nd September
-
Payment 2 of £175 – Due by 31st January
If you wish to discuss anything regarding costs, please message Kojo directly.
IMPORTANT: The season cost is for the full season, if a player can’t attend, we are unable to give a discount. If you make a payment and if a player picks up an injury or for a valid reason can’t train or play for the rest of the season then we will look at that on an ad hoc basis.
Payments can be made via bank transfer on the specified dates. Here are the required bank details:
Bank: Natwest
Account Name: Tribal Basketball
Account Number: 20358490
Sort Code: 52-21-07
Reference: U14 Players Name
All team members will also require their own personal Basketball Wales License. For the Junior registration the costs are a one off £18 per player for the season. Which can be accessed with the link below:
Note – You will need to enter your details through the system to get the license, it is important that for the team selection element that you select Cardiff Tribal Hunters and the U14 age group. Once you have registered, please share your registration number with Kojo.
TEAM ASSIGNMENTS
If everyone was to sign up we would have 20 players assigned to the team, this is larger than usual due to the fact that we don’t want to turn players away at this stage. Only 12 players can be on the court and bench on game days. There are often times that players can’t make games for whatever reason, and this is why we have a larger roster. This does mean that for some games you may be available to play but aren’t selected.
COACHING STAFF
-
O'Brien Greene - Head Coach
-
Kojo Hazel - Assistant Coach / Team Manager
TRAINING AND GAMES
Training days will be weekly 6:00-8:00pm on Mondays @ St Davids College
Home Games - All home games will be on the Sundays @ St Davids College 11:00 tip time. Please still arrive at least 15 minutes before for warmups and team talks etc.
Away Games - There will be the need to travel to away game days, which will be players and parents responsibility. Hopefully parents can help each other with lifts. See communications below for more info for this.
KIT
We have a Team kit which is currently a Grey Camo. These will be made available each game day by the head coach. Players can get changed in changing rooms at St Davids and away venues. We don’t supply trainers or socks. After each game the players will need to change back into their own clothes and return the kit to the team manager. Any under shirts (skins), if players wish to wear them for games, must be either black or grey if possible. Please ensure your all players always have a drink with them for games and training days.
TEAM COMMUNICATIONS
We already have our WhatsApp Group set up. This will be our main method of communication soplease meake sure you check for messages regularly. The group will be used for:
-
Team Bulletins - This is for important team info, team selection for game days. Coaches will remind people of upcoming games and find out availability.
-
Team Chat – Where players, parents and coaches can converse about anything required for the team, help workout lifts to away games and general chit chat.
Game Availability
This season we will be using an App called Heja to list all upcoming games. Here you can put down players availability and the team list will then be posted by the coaches in good time before game day in the WhatsApp group.
Right that’s it, appologies for the information overload! Any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Here's to what will hopefully be an exciting season for the players and yourselves to experience, we’re really looking forward to seeing them on the courts!
Many thanks
Kojo
